Another day in paradise. . .

I love school break. The kids have a one week break this week. This afternoon, I am listening to the sounds of legos and happy children. Usually I am hearing the sounds of homework and how much longer until dinner. Tomorrow, it is off to the doctor's office for flu shots. I wonder if it will be another day in paradise after that?

Home work blues

Why, oh why, do we have homework? I just want my children to know that I only pretend to like homework. I would really rather be playing UNO.

Summer time 09

We are out of school and loving life. Cole and Katie are doing music and art camp. They will be in the musical Jonah. Cole is going to be Jonah, and he is soooo excited. Last night he told us that he wanted to be Jonah very bad - because Jonah gets eaten by the whale and he would only have to be in half of the musical. You never know what motivates someone. Today he found out that he got the part. He has lots of lines to learn and music to learn. I wonder how happy he will be tomorrow? Katie also has a part in the play. She said that she is "some girl." I will have to research a little more on what that means. We are waiting for the test results to come back to see if Katie has Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Why is it that we can not have simple colds in our house? We found a tick on her about 2 weeks ago. She had her first blood test on Saturday. This required us to come home from the mountains early. We had Kyle with us as well. I know he is wondering about the sanit...

Just like you . . .

Katie told me last night that she was going to remember everything that I did with her so that she could do the exact same thing with her daughter. No pressure. . . Gulp. Another reason to pray, pray, and pray some more. Where would I be if I had to do this all on my own? My pray today is that God will guide me to do what is right and best for my children. Especially now that I know one little girl wants to do exactly what I am doing.
