Yesterday in the car, Cole and Katie were talking about the notes that I left for them in their lunch boxes. Cole hid his note from his friends. After all, he is in second grade with 22 other boys! They are into the fact that he could have a love note. Katie was all excited about her note. She had her teacher read it for her. She told Cole that Isaac in her class wanted to know if it was a love note. Cole asked Katie if Isaac liked her. Katie said that she did not know. Cole then told Katie that he really did not like that Isaac boy - he was too wild and crazy. All the while I am screaming in my head, YES, YES, YES!!! I love a brother that takes up and watches after his younger sister. Keep up the great work Cole - and Katie - stay away from Isaac.
Sometimes my kids can say the funnest words. This morning it was so foggy outside that it was difficult to see. Katie says, "I can't believe how froggy it is this morning." Cole agreed that it was very froggy. Katie sometimes says allergy for alert when playing battle with her brother. Cole says that he takes durteck (Zurteck) for allergies. They were singing, "The weather outside is nightfull, the sun is so delightful, since we have no place to go, Let it snow." Well, at least they say I love you just right.
