Today was Cole's first day home from school for the summer. I had a to do list that would make most people faint of heart. I not only had the "to do list" but also had "to do it" with two kids in tow. David really did not think that I could accomplish this list and I will admit that it had it's moments - but - we did it. The kids were great and they did not drive each other insane. They were in and out of their car seats like they were ready to storm the beaches of Normandy. No little to do list was going to stand in their way of a good time. We were going places and Cole was marking them down. Katie kept us straight on what was next. Now I'm just ready to crash - they are still ready to keep going. Somewhere there must be a way for moms to break into summer break a little more easily. Maybe Lysol could make a spray for moms to coat themselves with just as the last school bell rings for summer. Then we could just reaply as needed.
Sometimes my kids can say the funnest words. This morning it was so foggy outside that it was difficult to see. Katie says, "I can't believe how froggy it is this morning." Cole agreed that it was very froggy. Katie sometimes says allergy for alert when playing battle with her brother. Cole says that he takes durteck (Zurteck) for allergies. They were singing, "The weather outside is nightfull, the sun is so delightful, since we have no place to go, Let it snow." Well, at least they say I love you just right.
