Cole is on break for the next two weeks. Both kids are home. Most days we really have fun together. This morning Cole woke with a really interesting attitude. "What are we doing today? I hope that it is something fun. I would really like to have a new toy, but I know that you are going to say No." After I laid out the plans for the day (Library, Walmart, Dye Easter Eggs, Finish Laundry, Pack Dinner for a Picnic in the Park) he then started with a plan of his own. "What if instead of the Library we played putt-putt, and at Walmart we find a new toy for me and Katie and then we went straight to the park." I explained our day once again and why we had to do each item. He complained that he "never" got to decide what we were going to do. I smiled and said, "Part of my job is to be the entertainment director. You are just along for the ride." For the most part, he has enjoyed his day. He is already asking about tomorrow.
Sometimes my kids can say the funnest words. This morning it was so foggy outside that it was difficult to see. Katie says, "I can't believe how froggy it is this morning." Cole agreed that it was very froggy. Katie sometimes says allergy for alert when playing battle with her brother. Cole says that he takes durteck (Zurteck) for allergies. They were singing, "The weather outside is nightfull, the sun is so delightful, since we have no place to go, Let it snow." Well, at least they say I love you just right.
