Now that we are in "Stay In Place"

Welp.  I was talking to the kids tonight at dinner about how we are living in historical times right now. I wanted them each to write out how they are feeling and what is happening so that in years ahead, we can reflect on our experiences during the COVID 19 days.  Katie suggested that I pick back up with this blog.  She has loved reading the blog in the past, but its been YEARS since I have plucked down words onto this blog.  So here it goes: 1.  COVID 19 is super scary - but it has lead to our family have more time together than I ever imagined.  My mama heart really felt like we would not have Cole home for any length of time because of college and apartment living.  Katie is always busy with friends and You tube videos and such.  Bryson is always around - he can't leave us.  It has been such a sweet time being able to spend time with my kids and husband.  I think about my friends working at the hospital daily and pray for them....

Bryson is 6 months old!

I cannot believe that our new baby is going to be six months old Wednesday! Where did the time go? Cole and Katie are doing well in school. We are on the count down for break. . . Wonder where we will go?

Daycare blues

Bryson started day care this week. I have had mixed emotions about going back to work. I really love what I do, but I also love spending time with my children. Bryson has done really well at daycare. He loves the kids and especially Ms. Debbie. I know that she loves him very much too! I know that Bryson's daycare is a wonderful place and that makes it easier for me to deal with. I don't know how I would handle this siutaiton if I did not like where he was. So until I win the lottery, I will be taking Bryson to daycare and myself to work. Oh well! There are always vacations. . . lots and lots of vacations!

Beach Vacation 2011

We had a wonderful time at the beach during the kids September break. We were able to stay two weeks! The kids enjoyed playing on the beach, putt-putt, the Pirates Voyage dinner theater, the Skywheel, and just hanging out at the pool. It was Byrson's first beach trip. He enjoyed taking naps under the tent and listening to the ocean breezes. It was a great vacation.

Life changes. . .

We are so excited to announce our precious new baby - Bryson James Lee. He is an amazing surprise to our family. Certainly a miracle that only God can provide. Cole and Katie are in love with their new brother. David and I can't believe that we get the joy of raising a new baby again. We welcome our precious babe into our wonderful and crazy family. We can't wait to take you along on all of our great adventures.

Houseparty!!! DiGiorno Pizza Party

I recently hosted a DiGiorno Pizza party for my friends. Let me tell you about the pizza package they are offering now. It is a box that has pizza and breadstick and sauce all in one package. The pizza was very good and the breadsticks were out of this world. Having the sauce included made this a one stop shopping experience. My guests really liked the coupons that were included. The only complaint came from my son and one other guest. They did not like the cheese pizza as much as they liked the supreme topped pizza. They felt that the cheese had too much of a cheesy taste. Overall, this is a great value for a quick family meal.

What now?

Dear Katie, Your dad and I want you to know that we really hate second grade. This year has been filled with so many challanges. You are progressing so well in so many areas, but it has also been a year of difficulties. Just one month ago, you received your first principal office visit. I will admit that I felt like laughing at part of the reason for your visit. YOU ATE PENCIL LEAD!!! The girl in front of you dared you to eat it, and well, you did. You also would not stay in your seat, you were up and down, and you would not listen. Now those things were not so funny - but pencil lead. Oh my! We had to wait an entire hour for the principal to come to her office. It was the pits! Well, today, your teacher came out to the car and told me that you cheated on a math speed drill. You were sent to the office where you received yet another spanking. I have to say, I was very much dismayed. When I asked you why you looked at the other childs paper, you said that it was so that you could re...

Another day in paradise. . .

I love school break. The kids have a one week break this week. This afternoon, I am listening to the sounds of legos and happy children. Usually I am hearing the sounds of homework and how much longer until dinner. Tomorrow, it is off to the doctor's office for flu shots. I wonder if it will be another day in paradise after that?
